Application and Admission

IMPORTANT: The focus area 'Biorobotics' is closed

Unfortunately the professors L. Masia and D. Häufle will leave ZITI by end of 2024. Their research in the area of 'Biorobotics' will therefore be closed down and we cannot assure any more a sufficient teaching programme in that specialisation. The specialisation  'Biorobotics' in the master program Computer Engineering is therefore closed.

We are seeking for solutions to allow our ongoing students to finish their studies as good as possible. New applicants who are particularly interested in the specialisation 'Biorobotics' must search for alternatives, unfortunately.

Admission Criteria

For the Master's program in Technical Computer Science, there is a university-specific admission restriction.

To be admitted to the Master's program in Computer Engineering, applicants must have a university degree such as a Bachelor of Science, Magister, state examination, diploma, or an equivalent qualification in a degree program of at least six semesters in one of the following fields:

    • Awards in computer science or technology-related competitions (e.g., InformatiCup).
    • Conducting independent technology or computer science projects with corresponding documentation.
  • Selection interview (in German) to assess suitability and motivation.

For detailed information (e.g., regarding grade conversion), please refer to the admission regulations.
